Bluetooth Device Rfcomm Protocol Tdi Driver Windows 10: What It Is and Why You Need It

I have a dell inspiron 1545 15r series. I am unable to access the bluetooth module. In the device manager initially it didnt show the bluetooth device. Then after I have added "add legacy hardware" I found the bluetooth rfcomm protocol tdi driver. I have installed it, but an exclamation mark shows up saying error code 10,cannot start the device. I have downloaded the recent driver from dell website too. The installation using the compatibility settings (i use win8) runs smooth. But during installation it says to activate the wireless switch. I tried using Fn+F2 but nothing shows up. However the installation is complete and when i run the software from C:/program files/WIDCOMM/BLUETOOTH software/BTT.exe nothing happens! I tried every possible method!

If the issue still persists, you may be facing compatibility issues with installation of Bluetooth drivers. 'Inspiron 1545' is built with 'Dell wireless 365 adapter' and it has no tested drivers for 'Windows 8'.Note: Though the recommended steps have exhibited some positive results, you may still experience bluetooth issues as the laptop is not tested to work optimally with Windows 8. You may want to have a look at the list of all Dell systems tested with Windows 8: - Click the following link to download the most updated driver for the Bluetooth: - Save the folder (zipped folder) on the 'Desktop screen'- Double-click the new icon on the desktop labeled R228749.exe- The Self-Extracting window appears and prompts you to extract or unzip to C:\DELL\DRIVERS- Click Ok- After completing the file extraction, if the Self-Extractor window is still open, close it- Open the following path: C:\Dell\Drivers\83V6K\Win64 (Open the folder Win32 if your laptop has Windows 32bit installed in your system)- Click 'Computer' and drive letter 'C'- Locate folder 'dell' and double click it- Locate folder 'Drivers' and double click it- Locate folder '83V6K'- Locate folder 'Win64' and double click it (locate folder Win32 if your laptop has Windows 32bit installed in your system)- Locate file Inst (Refer to the image below) - Right click file 'Inst'- Click 'Run as an administrator'- Click 'Yes' to continue if prompted with 'User access control' message- Follow through with the installation as per the screen instructions- Finish the installation and check for the Bluetooth functionality- If issue persists, try using the 'setup' file to install drivers in compatibility mode (Next Step)

Can you let me know the deatail model of your bluetooth device and machine? Please collect a screenshot for the device in the Device Manager, then upload it to the SkyDrive or other place to let us know.As my last suggestion--Clean boot, which can help you determine if the issue is casued by third party conflicts. Yea i think you're right... I was hoping you had come up with a quick fix! I havnt got the time to be doing a full reinstall at the moment, so annoying cos the install is only a few months old windows 7 64bit :-( I really want to be able to sync my phone via bluetooth again! Is there a way to completely uninstall all network adaptors and would that help? Do you think a different bluetooth dongle would install? (i tend to think not because of the other vpn etc devices that are not installed)

Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM Protocol TDI) is a kernel device driver. In Windows 10 it is starting only if the user, an application or another service starts it. If Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM Protocol TDI) fails to start, the failure details are being recorded into Event Log. Then Windows 10 will start up and notify the user that the RFCOMM service has failed to start due to the error.

3. Close the command window and restart the computer. The RFCOMM service is using the rfcomm.sys file that is located in the C:\Windows\System32\drivers directory. If the file is removed or corrupted, read this article to restore its original version from Windows 10 installation media.

I installed bootcamp on my macbook (2019 mojave , bootcamp 6.1 , windows 10 ). I tried many things about bluetooth device working. but it is not working correctly. Then I read an article, it tells that "wifi turn off" and I try it, I turn off wifi , I turn on bluetooth connection. It is working correctly.

Eventually the system did hold up but I still had one unrecognized PCI hardware in device manager. The display drivers also did not seem very stable, brightness and contrast did not work. I never got my bluetooth to connect to myLogitech Bluetooth device. Not good enough - I put back Windows 8 and everything was back to normal.

Just yesterday I wanted to upgrade the SSD and along with it why not try Windows 10 once more? I installed the Jan 2017 Build of windows 10 (fresh install). I then proceeded to install the drivers, all the Windows 8.1 drivers installed fine. Finally I was left with one unidentified PCI device which happened to be the card-reader, installing drivers for this presented me with how a perfect world be like - zero unidentified devices.

What about bluetooth audio? I had to reinstall the bluetooth driver twice and also restart the Logitech bluetooth device and voila - finally the laptop recognized it as an audio deviceand here I am typing this post and listening to Zombie using bluetooth :).

I just bought a new system and started to use it as I was going through the device manager Bluetooth device rfcomm protocol tdi appeared. Can anyone explain to me what is Bluetooth device RFCOMM Protocol TDI and is it suitable?

These embrace higher Bluetooth layers like the Open Exchange Protocol. OBEX is employed in file transfer operations. The RFCOMM protocol supports up to sixty synchronic connections between 2 Bluetooth devices. the amount of connections that may be used at the same time on a Bluetooth device depends on the implementation.

I did a bit of troubleshooting and found that the reason is that in "device manager", under "bluetooth", the RFCOMM Protocol TDI keeps disabling itself, even if I click on "enable". After few secs the RFCOMM disables again automatically, and I don't know why, I think it is some software that commands the disabling maybe. How can I check if it is an app installed on the laptop that is causing RFCOMM to disable without reason? 2ff7e9595c
